We are happy to announce that the Nordic Congress Exchange will be held before the Nordic Congress of General Practice in Reykjavik this summer. The exchange is intended for young Nordic doctors, GP trainees and Junior GPs.
We aim to give 30 Nordic GP trainees or Junior GPs (a specialist less than 5 years after graduation) a taste of the Icelandic Primary Care System and the Icelandic GPs are looking forward to welcoming you!
The participants of the exchange are expected to arrive by the 11th of June in Reykjavik and we are trying to arrange accommodation for the first night at the hosts’ or other young Icelandic GPs’ homes. If we succeed, the accommodation cost for the 11th of June will be covered.
On the 12th of June, delegates will visit an Icelandic health clinic during the day and, for those interested, there will be an optional outdoor event in the afternoon. Finally, we will gather for a recap of the day and dinner at 19:00 with the other Exchange participants.
The official language of the Exchange will be English, but many patients and doctors speak Danish, Swedish or Norwegian.
Please note that the participants are expected to pay for transport from their countries to Iceland and return, as well as for the accommodation during the remaining congress period.
How to apply:
If you are interested, please send your application (CV + motivation letter in English) to firstname.lastname@example.org before the 15th of March.
We look forward to welcoming you!
